OMM TV Jhamu Yatra begins at Ostapada Maa Mangala Pitha.

: Jhamu Yatra has started from today at the village goddess Maa Mangala Pitha of Kalajhari Ostapada village of capital. With this, a group of 4 members of a Patua group has reached Kakatpur Maa Mangala's shrine to Agyamalanei village. Chief Kalesh Rohit Samal of Ostapada Jhamujatra Committee has expressed his opinion that the fair will continue for 5 days. Till today night 6 Patua and 6 Kaleshi have joined the festival. As this number increases from tomorrow, the group will be asking for a visit in the surrounding areas. During Maguni, two parties Baja and Danda Kaleshi will be present and eat Pana Prasad in the houses of monthly holders. From today on, after going to the shrine for 5 days, everyone will test their devotion by rolling on the boiled sand and getting beaten. This is called Mahameru Jatra Boli. Similarly, on the day of Jhamu Yatra, the committee has organized a milk pot offering program for the people of Kalesh. In which the Kaleshis will get the boiled milk boiled in the stove empty handed and get it as an offering. Later Patua and all other Kalesh will go to Jhamujatra by burning a rod in a 5 feet hole. Sushil Bhoi, the Managing Committee has announced that the psychic devotees will order the Kaleshis to wear new clothes and other offerings at the shrine during this time.
