Kalahandib zila,11/08 (KB) District Reporter (MAHESWAR) Reporting Lanjigarh DAV Vedanta International School, Lanjigarh, observed the birth anniversary of the legendary Odia poet Gangadhar Meher on 11th August 2025 with great reverence and enthusiasm. The event was held in the presence of the esteemed Principal, Dr. Manveen Kaur, along with school staff, teachers, and students.The program commenced with the floral tribute and garlanding of Gangadhar Meher’s portrait, honoring his immense contribution to Odia literature. Students and teachers paid homage to the great poet by reciting one of his renowned poems, highlighting the beauty and depth of his literary work.

In her address to the gathering, Principal Dr. Manveen Kaur emphasized the importance of learning from such observance days. She encouraged students to imbibe moral values from the lives of literary figures and view these occasions as opportunities to deepen their understanding of Odia language and culture.

Teachers from the Odia department and other faculties also participated actively in the program, making it a meaningful and educational experience for all.
