IIMT Bhubaneswar Celebrates National Space Day with Global Conference on AI & Concurrent Engineering-OmmtvKalingavikas
Bhubaneswar- Interscience Institute of Management & Technology (IIMT), Bhubaneswar, joined the nationwide observance of National Space Day by organizing the International Conference on AI & Concurrent Engineering (AICE-2025) on its campus. The event was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Jayadev Kar, Director, IIMT, who delivered the welcome address. The session began with an introduction by Mrs. Soma Mitra, Associate Dean (R&P), followed by the formal welcome of guests by Mr. Alok Arun, Assistant Professor. On the eve of National Space Day, IIMT also launched a new academic initiative — a book series titled “IIMT Lecture Notes on Corporate Readiness.” The series is designed to equip students with practical insights, professional skills, and corporate exposure, enabling them to better explore and adapt to the corporate world.
The program featured talks from eminent experts including Prof. (Dr.) Kazumi Nakamatsu, University of Hyogo, Japan, Prof. (Dr.) Rupinder Singh, NITTTR Chandigarh, and Dr. D. Chandrasekhar Rao, BPUT Rourkela, along with distinguished faculty members of IIMT Prof. (Dr.) Rutuparna Panda discussed AI and Concurrent Engineering, Prof. (Dr.) Umaranjan Jena highlighted Generative AI in Mechanics, and Prof. (Dr.) Kabiraj Sethi guided students on Career Prospects in VLSI.
The discussions ranged from AI applications in mechanics, digital manufacturing, VLSI prospects, and generative AI, inspiring students to embrace innovation. The dignitaries were felicitated by Prof. (Dr.) Patnaik and Prof. (Dr.) Kar. The event concluded with remarks by Prof. (Dr.) Patnaik and a vote of thanks by Mr. Debashis Mishra, Assistant Professor, IIMT, Bhubaneswar. The celebration highlighted IIMT’s commitment to nurturing scientific curiosity and aligning with India’s vision of space exploration and technological advancement.
