NATIONAL SPORTS DAY CELEBRATED AT DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, KALINGA NAGAR : OMMTV

Bhubaneswar 29.08 : National Sports Day Celebrated at D.A.V Public School, Kalinga Nagar to mark the birth anniversary of legendary sporting talent of the country Major Dhyanchand. Amdist different sports competitions, physical fitness a special felicitation ceremony were also organised. In a glittering function chaired by the principal of the school Bipin Kumar Sahoo, the veteran sports coach & retd. Asst. Director Sports, Govt. of Odisha Sri Arun Kumar Das stressed on physical fitness is the key for the day to day activities and laid down the importance of the day. During the occasion the sporting talent of the school and the gold medalist of International Taekwondo championship Master Pratyush Mohanty was felicitated. The student of the school Sulagna Rath & Abhyarthana Samanta narrated the achievements of Major Dhyanchand in the filed of sports. At the beginning a floral tribute was given to Major Dhyanchand as a mark of respect. The physical education dept. of the school and other staff members are contributed wholeheartedly for the smooth conduct of the function.
