DAVians of Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar celebrated the National Sports Day amid various activities. Former Indian Hockey team Captain and Olympian Padma Shri Dillip Tirkey joined as the Chief Guest and encouraged the students to focus on sporting activities during studentship in order to achieve their goal smoothly. Earlier, the chief guest, school Principal, teachers and students offered floral tributes to Major Dhyanchand on his birth anniversary. Sri Tirkey highlighted the priceless contributions of Major Dhyanchand to Indian sports and presented an autographed Hockey stick to the school after showing useful techniques of the national game. Cyclothon and friendly football match were also organised to mark the occasion. The Principal I/C Indira Bhattacharya and Academic Supervisors felicitated the chief guest. The Department of Physical Education of the School coordinated the activities.
