BLOOD DONATION CAMP ORGANISED AT DAV, KALINGA NAGAR

“The gift of blood is a gift to someone's life”.

Bhubaneswar, 03.07(Omm) : - DAV Public School, Kalinga Nagar organized a Blood Donation Camp in its premises today to mark the valediction of its Silver Jubilee Year. In this camp organized in association with Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch and Commissionerate Police (Bhubaneswar and Cuttack city), the parents and teachers of the school donated more than 72 units of blood. Joining as the Chief Guest, Assistant Police Commissioner and Joint Secretary of Bhubaneswar Red Cross Society, Sri Lalitendu Mohanty inaugurated the programme. In the meeting organized to mark the occasion, Sri Mohanty highlighted about the importance of the noble act of blood donation and its medical benefits for the donor. The Chairman of the school Sj Madan Mohan Panda and Principal Sri Bipin Kumar Sahoo encouraged the donors and the students with their presence throughout the programme. On this occasion , the Chief Guest also planted a sapling to mark the observation of ongoing Vanamahotsav Week by the school. The programme was smoothly organized under the direct supervision of the principal and the whole-hearted cooperation of all the staff members and the school alumni association.
