*Bhubaneswar, 17th May, 2023:* KiiT International School, a leading educational institution, celebrated the International Day of Art of Giving by establishing and inaugurating a state-of-the-art community library at the adopted village of Shyamsundarpur as envisioned by the Honorable Founder, Dr. Achyuta Samanta. The auspicious ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Monalisa Bal, Chairperson of KiiT International School, who inaugurated the library and expressed her delight in contributing to the educational development of the community.
The community library named "Ama Pathagara," was meticulously set up by the dedicated members of KiiT International School (KiiTis) who worked tirelessly to ensure a favourable learning environment for the villagers. At the first phase of this initiative, the students and teachers of KiiT International School generously donated approximately 500 Odia books that include the Bhagvad Geeta, Upanishads, the Panchatantra, enriching the library's collection. The contribution of Tapan Chakraborty (Sarpancha Daruthenga) and Ajit Srichandan(Vice-chairman of Bhubaneswar Block and Samiti Sabhya Daruthenga Gram Panchayat) has been immense. Furthermore, the school is committed to expanding the library's inventory by continually adding more books in the future. In addition to the remarkable book collection, KiiT International School also extended its support by donating computers to the library. This gesture will empower the villagers, enabling them to access valuable digital resources and acquire computer literacy. The school has taken the responsibility of providing computer education to the students, ensuring they have the necessary skills for the digital age. The inauguration of the community library marks a significant milestone in KiiT International School's ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community development. The institution remains dedicated to empowering the underprivileged through education, knowledge, and resources. Through collaborative efforts and continued support, KIIT International School strives to create positive change and inspire a love for learning within communities.

Recognizing the importance of quality education, Dr. Monalisa Bal, Chairperson, KiiT International School, made a promising announcement. She said, “The tiny of village of Shyamsundarpur is my second karmabhumi; I have always felt like an adopted daughter to the land. When an opportunity presented itself in the form of opening a village library, I knew right away that I had to answer the calling by doing my humble bit in the grand scheme of things. The school would organize special coaching sessions for Grade 9 and 10 students in the village, aiming to enhance their academic performance and foster holistic growth. Through this dedicated coaching, the students will be equipped to excel not only in education but also in various other activities, enabling them to carve a brighter future for themselves. I am grateful towards the villagers, school staff, and students for their unwavering support in making this initiative a resounding success. I believe that the access to education and resources is a fundamental right for every individual and this initiative will contribute to a stronger, more enlightened community.”
