ଏୗତିହାସିକ ପଟିଆ ବନ୍ଧକୁ ହେଲା ୭୮ ବର୍ଷ । ଯାହାନେଇ ଆଜି କିଛି ଆଞ୍ଚଳିତ ବାସିନ୍ଦା ନୂଆବନ୍ତସ୍ଥିତ ଆଞ୍ଚଳିକ ରାମକୃଷ୍ଣ ପତି ସ୍ମୃତିପୀଠରେ ନିରାଡ଼ମ୍ବର ଭାବେ ପାଳନ କରିଛନ୍ତି ପଟିଆ ବନ୍ଧର ଜନ୍ମ ଉତ୍ସବ। ଏହି ଫଗୁ ଦଶମୀ ଅବସରରେ ପଟିଆ ବନ୍ଧ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା ୧୯୪୬ ମସିହାରେ। ଯେଉଁ ଇତିହାସକୁ ଆଜି କୋଦବା କୁଚିତ ଲୋକ ମନେରଖିଛନ୍ତି। ଏହି ବନ୍ଧପାଇଁ ଭୁବନେଶ୍ବର ଜଳମଗ୍ନ ହେବାରୁ ବର୍ତି ଯାଇଥିଲା। ବ୍ରିଟିସ୍ ସରକାର ବିରୋଧରେ ସ୍ବର ଉଠାଇ ସେ ସମୟର ଲୋକପ୍ରିୟ ଜନନେତା ରାମକୃଷ୍ଣ ପତି, ବୈରାଗୀ ଜେନା, ନାଥ ସ୍ବାଇଁ ଓ ବନମାଳି ଜେନାଙ୍କ ନେତୃତ୍ବରେ ଆଖପାଖ ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ପ୍ରତିଟି ପରିବାରରୁ ଜଣେ ଲେଖାଏଁ ୯ କିଲୋମିଟର ଲମ୍ବ ପଟିଆ ବନ୍ଧ ନିର୍ମାଣରେ ସାମିଲ ହୋଇଥିଲେ। କୌଣାର୍କର ୧୨ଶହ ବଢ଼େଇ ଭଳି ହଜାର ହଜାର ସ୍ଥାନୀୟଲୋକ ଭୁବନେଶ୍ବରକୁ ବନ୍ୟାରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିବାପାଇଁ ପଟିଆ ବନ୍ଧ ନିର୍ମାଣରେ ମାଟି‌ ଗାଣ୍ଡୁଆ ମୁଣ୍ଡାଇ ଦିନ ରାତି ପରିଶ୍ରମକରି ବନ୍ଧ ତିଆରି କରିଥିଲେ। ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ବଳିଦାନ ପାଇଁ ଆଜି ସ୍ମାର୍ଟ ସିଟି ଗଢ଼ିଉଠିଛି। ହେଲେ ପଟିଆ ବନ୍ଧର ଜନ୍ମଦିନକୁ ମନେରଖିଛନ୍ତି ହାତଗଣତି କିଛି ଲୋକ। ଆଜି ସୁରେନ୍ଦ୍ରନାତ ପତିଙ୍କ ସଭାପତିତ୍ବରେ ଆୟୋଜକ କମିଟିର ସଭାପତି ନୃସିଂହ ବେହେରା, ସମ୍ପାଦକ ଅରକ୍ଷିତ ବେହେରା, ଶଙ୍କର ବାରିକ, ଚିତ୍ତରଞ୍ଜନ ସ୍ବାଇଁ, ଫକିର ଚରଣ ସାହୁ, ରାମଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ରାଉତ, ରବିନ୍ଦ୍ରକୁମାର ପାତ୍ର, ଗୋବିନ୍ଦ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ଦାସ ଓ ବସନ୍ତ କୁମାର ମହାପାତ୍ର ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ସଭାରେ ମଞ୍ଚାସିନହୋଇ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ପୁରୁଷ, ମହିଳା ଏବଂ ଯୁବପିଢ଼ିକୁ ପଟିଆ ବନ୍ଧର ବଳିଦାନ ବିଷୟରେ ବକ୍ତବ୍ୟ ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ପଟିଆ ବନ୍ଧପାଇଁ ଆଜି ଭୁବନେଶ୍ବର ବାଲିଯାତ୍ରା ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧିଲାଭକରିଛି ବୋଲି ଉଦାହରଣଦେଇ ଅତିଥିମାନେ ସେ ସମ‌ମୟର ନେତା ରାମକୃଷ୍ଣ ପତି ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜନନେତା ସାଥିମାନଙ୍କ ଉଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଦୁଇ ମିନିଟ ଶୋକ ପାଳନ କରିଥିଲେ।
