Achyuta Samanta Quits Active Politics : Ommtv Round The Clock

Bhubaneswar, 9th June: Dr. Achyuta Samanta, a prominent leader of the Biju Janata Dal and former MP, has stepped aside from active politics. Dr. Samanta expressed his decision after meeting Biju Janata Dal President and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas yesterday. Also he thanked Shri Patnaik for giving him chances both in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha. Dr. Samanta stated that his commitment to social service for the last 32 years will continue till his last breath. After his defeat in the Kandhamal parliamentary constituency this year, he announced his retirement from active politics on June 9. On the other hand, Dr. Samanta thanked members of BJD and the people of the Kandhamal Parliamentary Constituency for their love and support.

ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର, ୯ ।୬: ପ୍ରତ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ରାଜନୀତିରୁ ଅବ୍ୟାହତି ନେଇଛନ୍ତି ବିଜୁ ଜନତା ଦଳର ଅନ୍ୟତମ ନେତା ତଥା ପୂର୍ବତନ ସାଂସଦ ଅଚ୍ୟୁତ ସାମନ୍ତ। ଜୁନ୍‍ ୯ରୁ ସେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ରାଜନୀତିରୁ ଅବ୍ୟାହତି ନେଲେ ବୋଲି ଶ୍ରୀ ସାମନ୍ତ ଆଜି  ଘୋଷଣା କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଗତକାଲି ନବୀନ ନିବାସରେ ବିଜୁ ଜନତା ଦଳ ସଭାପତି ତଥା ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ନବୀନ ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକଙ୍କୁ ଭେଟି ଏ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ଶ୍ରୀ ସାମନ୍ତଙ୍କ ନିଜର ଇଚ୍ଛା ବ୍ୟକ୍ତ କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହା ସହ ଉଭୟ ରାଜ୍ୟସଭା ଓ ଲୋକସଭା ପାଇଁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସୁଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥିବାରୁ ଶ୍ରୀ ସାମନ୍ତ, ନବୀନ ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକଙ୍କୁ କୃତଜ୍ଞତା ଜଣାଇଥିଲେ। ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ଶ୍ରୀ ସାମନ୍ତ ନିଜ ଶୁଭେଚ୍ଛୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଜଣାଇବା ସହ ଦୀର୍ଘ ୩୨ବର୍ଷ ଧରି ସେ ଜାରି ରଖିଥିବା ସମାଜସେବା ଶେଷ ନିଶ୍ୱାସ ଥିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଜାରି ରଖିବେ ବୋଲି ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଚଳିତ ନିର୍ବାଚନରେ ସେ କନ୍ଧମାଳ ସଂସଦୀୟ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରୁ ଲଢ଼ି ପରାଜିତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ। ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ନବୀନ ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରିବା ସହ ସେ ଜଣେ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଭଲ ଲୋକ ବୋଲି ଶ୍ରୀ ସାମନ୍ତ କହିଛନ୍ତି। ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ବିଜେଡ଼ିର ସମସ୍ତ କର୍ମକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କୁ କୃତଜ୍ଞତା ଜଣାଇବା ସହ କନ୍ଧମାଳ ସଂସଦୀୟ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ସମସ୍ତ ଜନସାଧାରଣଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଭଲ ପାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଶ୍ରୀ ସାମନ୍ତ କନ୍ଧମାଳବାସୀଙ୍କୁ କୃତଜ୍ଞତା ଜଣାଇଛନ୍ତି।
