Silver Jubilee of Kadambini, The Orthodox language has a rich history: Governor : Ommtv Roudn The Clock
Bhubaneswar, 2.7: Governor Raghubar Das said that Odisha has a rich history among Indian classical languages. Mr. Das said this while attending the silver jubilee ceremony of Kadambini, a popular monthly Odia magazine, today as the chief guest. He said, the Ordhya language is a unique treasure of cultural expression and sentiment. He said that honoring senior Kadambini writers and encouraging new ones is a commendable act. Kadambini has made a remarkable contribution in the field of spreading and propagandizing the Ordhya language and literature. He said that it has become popular as the personal writings of every member of the family are published in Kadambini.
Achut Samantha, the founder of Kadambini and Kunikatta, gave a welcome speech and said that no such article has been published in Kadambini magazine in 25 years which has been criticized by people. I have asked its editor Dr. Kadambini not to use a single negative word in this magazine since its inception. So I advised Samantha. He has followed it to the letter till date. Kadambini's efforts in propagating Odisha language, literature, culture and tradition in Odisha and outside Odisha are commendable. On this occasion, Shri Samantha informed that various programs will be held on behalf of Kadambini in different districts of Odisha during the Silver Jubilee. Along with this, Mr. Samantha announced that 25 young writers from different districts of the state will be given fellowships for research on Ordhya language, literature and culture.
Eminent dramatist Anant Mohapatra, who attended as the guest of honour, said, we can achieve success if we do anything successfully with determination. If you have self-belief, no work will be difficult. An example of this is Kadambini, he said. Prominent journalist Pradosh Patnaik presided over the program and said, Kadambini's 25 years of success cannot be over rated. Mr. Patnaik said that Kadambini has created a new history and identity by bowing down to seniors and encouraging juniors. Editor Dr. Iti Samantha gave thanks.
Kadambini Silver Jubilee Commemorative Postage Stamps, Kadambini Silver Jubilee Issue and Kunikatta July Issue were unveiled by the guests on the occasion. On the occasion of the Silver Jubilee, seminars were held on various topics. Prof. Savita Pradhan, Vice Chancellor of Odiya University and Sreejagannath Sanskrit University, Eminent Literary Archana Naik, Eminent Film Director Himanshu Shekhar Khatua, Eminent Researcher Gudhu Mund, Eminent Musician Laxmikant Palit, Eminent Dancer, Sneha Prabha Samantharai, Eminent Actress and Director Aimee Barua, Bollywood Actress Meera Chopra, Bollywood actor Abhay Burma, sportsperson Anuradha Biswal, karatika Valina Valentina, popular actor Sabyasachi Mishra, eminent chef Ms. Smritashree Singh were prominent participants.
Similarly, cultural programs were presented by KIS students, Anandpur Jharpani Art Niketan, Guru Ranjan Kumar Sahu and partner, Guru Dhaneshwar Swayum and partner and Akshay Mohanty Mass Up. Kadambini theme song was sung by vocalist Anthya Chakraborty and Autuma Padi at the beginning of the inauguration ceremony.
