Bhubaneswar, 7.7: The 96th Tirodhan Day of Utkalmani Pandit Gopbandhu Das was celebrated on Saturday. On this occasion, Kit and KIS founder Achut Samantha paid tribute to the statue of Utkalmani Gopbandhu in KIS premises. Reminiscing about Utkalmani, Shri Samantha said, Gopbandhu was an icon of service. Service was the mantra of his life. He had a significant contribution in the formation of a separate Uttar Pradesh. Shri Samantha advised the students to be inspired by the ideals of Utkalmani Gopbandhu. On this occasion, the senior officers and students of Kit and Kis were present and commemorated Gopbandhu. Later, a conference was held on the theme of 'Gopbandhu as a form of progressive consciousness' by the Kish University Gopbandhu Chair. Prominent dramatist and literature professor Vijay Kumar Shetpathi joined it and said, "Gopbandhu is the Bhagirath of politics, literature, social service, world humanism and neo-consciousness." A public hero like Gopbandhu is rare in today's society. Prof. Shetpathi said that he is indeed the epitome of progressive consciousness. Kish University Chancellor Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, Chancellor Dr. Prashant Kumar Rautarai and Gopbandhu Chair Professor Vijayanand Singh Major attended and discussed Gopbandhu's versatile talents.\

ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର, ୭ ।୭: କିଟ୍ ଓ କିସ୍ରେ ଉତ୍କଳମଣି ପଣ୍ଡିତ ଗୋପବନ୍ଧୁ ଦାସଙ୍କ ୯୬ତମ ତିରୋଧାନ ଦିବସ ଶନିବାର ପାଳିତ ହୋଇଛି । ଏହି ଅବସରରେ କିସ୍ ପରିସରରେ ଥିବା ଉତ୍କଳମଣି ଗୋପବନ୍ଧୁଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିମୂର୍ତ୍ତିରେ କିଟ୍ ଓ କିସ୍ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠାତା ଅଚ୍ୟୁତ ସାମନ୍ତ ମାଲ୍ୟାର୍ପଣ କରି ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧାଞ୍ଜଳି ଅର୍ପଣ କରିଥିଲେ । ଉତ୍କଳମଣିଙ୍କ ସ୍ମୃତିଚାରଣ କରି ଶ୍ରୀ ସାମନ୍ତ କହିଲେ, ଗୋପବନ୍ଧୁ ସେବାର ମୂର୍ତ୍ତିମନ୍ତ ପ୍ରତୀକ ଥିଲେ । ସେବା ତାଙ୍କ ଜୀବନର ମୂଳମନ୍ତ୍ର ଥିଲା । ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ଉତ୍କଳ ପ୍ରଦେଶ ଗଠନରେ ତାଙ୍କର ଉଲ୍ଲେଖନୀୟ ଯୋଗଦାନ ରହିଥିଲା । ଉତ୍କଳମଣି ଗୋପବନ୍ଧୁଙ୍କ ଆଦର୍ଶରେ ଅନୁପ୍ରାଣୀତ ହେବାକୁ ଶ୍ରୀ ସାମନ୍ତ ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରାମର୍ଶ ଦେଇଥିଲେ । ଏହି ଅବସରରେ କିଟ୍ ଓ କିସ୍ର ବରିଷ୍ଠ ପଦାଧିକାରୀ ତଥା ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀମାନେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ରହି ଗୋପବନ୍ଧୁଙ୍କ ସ୍ମୃତିଚାରଣ କରିଥିଲେ । ପରେ କିସ୍ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ଗୋପବନ୍ଧୁ ଚେୟାର ପକ୍ଷରୁ ‘ପ୍ରଗତିଶୀଳ ଚେତନାର ରୂପକାର ଗୋପବନ୍ଧୁ’ ବିଷୟବସ୍ତୁ ଉପରେ ଏକ ଆଲୋଚନାଚକ୍ର ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା । ଏଥିରେ ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ନାଟ୍ୟକାର ତଥା ସାହିତ୍ୟିକ ପ୍ରଫେସର ବିଜୟ କୁମାର ଶତପଥୀ ଯୋଗଦେଇ କହିଲେ, ଗୋପବନ୍ଧୁ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ରାଜନୀତି, ସାହିତ୍ୟ, ସମାଜସେବା, ବିଶ୍ୱ ମାନବବାଦ ତଥା ନବଚେନତାର ଭଗୀରଥ । ଗୋପବନ୍ଧୁଙ୍କ ଭଳି ଜନନାୟକ ଆଜିର ସମାଜର ବିରଳ । ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ସେ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ପ୍ରଗତିଶୀଳ ଚେତନାର ରୂପକାର ବୋଲି ପ୍ରଫେସର ଶତପଥୀ କହିଥିଲେ । ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ କିସ୍ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ କୁଳପତି ପ୍ରଫେସର ଦୀପକ କୁମାର ବେହେରା, କୁଳସଚିବ ଡ. ପ୍ରଶାନ୍ତ କୁମାର ରାଉତରାୟ ଓ ଗୋପବନ୍ଧୁ ଚେୟାର ପ୍ରଫେସର ବିଜୟାନନ୍ଦ ସିଂହ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଯୋଗଦେଇ ଗୋପବନ୍ଧୁଙ୍କ ବହୁମୁଖୀ ପ୍ରତିଭା ଉପରେ ଆଲୋଚନା କରିଥିଲେ ।
